Wow -- I forgot the conniptions Kamui's hair used to give me. >_>;; The design sketches for the first Tsubasa OAVs are helping, kind of, since Kamui's hair DOES look kind of like hair right now -- just not particularly like Kamui's. He's somewhere between 70s shoujo sci-fi boy and Mizuki after three weeks stranded on a desert isle. Which is amusing, but not helpful. Better go back to the manga and see if I can't doodle my way to something reasonable...

You do realize this makes me want to see the attempt, don't you?

One thing I will say is everyone in Geass has easier hair than in X, it's the clothes that get you.

By now you've seen the finished version, but some time in the next few days I might post some of the in-between versions. (Not that they're so crazy or anything, but they might be amusing. :D)

Ohhhhhh yes, how well I remember back in the day attempting to render Kamui's flippy feathery longish hair! ^_^;;;

Replying to an earlier comment:
At this point in Tsubasa, I've given up on a random Keiichi appearance, but I know what you mean -- it would be pretty awesome. (If he showed up now, I think he'd have to be another Syaoran by default. It's easy to imagine him as a Sakura clone, though -- look how often he talks in those super-puffy word balloons!)

...I just love how Tsubasa has turned into a great big ball of timey-wimey dimension-crossing incest. *lmao*

Gah, so late getting caught up with LJ ;o; And lol -- exactly! The scary part is trying to map out the "I'm my own grandfather!" issue onto X...the question is, does Fuuma being Kamui's father via cloning, time travel, and reincarnation make more or less sense than Tohru's virgin birth? XD; THESE ARE THE CONUNDRUMS WITH WHICH CLAMP CONFRONTS US.
